You were never meant to figureĀ feedingĀ out alone.

VictoriaĀ Gellis

Hi, I'mĀ Vicky Gellis

IBCLC

Ā Ā My passion for supporting families began long before I became a mother.

I graduated from New York University with a degree in Psychology and Child & Adolescent Mental Health, where I developed a deep understanding of child development, family dynamics, and the emotional transition into parenthood.

In 2019, I became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)—the highest internationally recognized credential in lactation care. Achieving this certification requires extensive clinical experience, specialized education, and passing a rigorous board examination, ensuring families receive evidence-based, expert support.

Over the last 7 years, I've had the privilege of helping more than 1,000 families navigate feeding challenges with confidence and individualized care.

I also became a lactation consultant before having my first baby, giving me years of clinical experience before my own motherhood journey began.

Now, as both a clinician and a mom of two, I bring together professional expertise and lived experience to support families in a practical, compassionate, and realistic way.

My approach

I don't believe in one-size-fits-all feeding advice.

Instead, I focus on:

  • What your baby is actually doing at the breast or bottle
  • What your body is capable of right now—not an idealized version of it
  • What your family needs to feel supported, rested, and confident

My goal is simple: to help you stop second-guessing every feeding decision and feel clear on your next step.

Why I became a lactation consultant

My path into this work started with a deep desire to support families during one of the biggest transitions of their lives.

I saw how overwhelming feeding could be—and how much confidence grew when families had access to practical, evidence-based support early on.

When I became a mother myself, that understanding became even more personal.

I've experienced many of the same challenges my clients face, including tongue tie, pumping decisions, bottle refusal, high lipase milk, clogged ducts, and the emotional weight of trying to do everything "right."

Those experiences didn't change my philosophy—they strengthened it.

I know how valuable it is to have someone in your corner who can help you filter through conflicting advice and create a plan that actually fits your family.

A final note

Feeding your baby isn't something you're meant to navigate alone.

If you're here, it's because you care deeply about your child—and that already tells me you're doing better than you think.

Whether your goal is exclusive breastfeeding, pumping, combination feeding, or simply making feeding feel less stressful, I'm here to support your family with compassionate, individualized care every step of the way.

I look forward to helping you make feeding feel easier, more connected, and more sustainable.
